Good Samaritan: Enhancing Road Safety

India's rate of road accidents is unacceptably high. With the requisite enforcement and medical infrastructure not growing with desired speed, most often it’s the common road users who respond first to any road emergency. Government of India provides that any such helping individual (‘Good Samaritan’) will not be compelled by the police authorities to disclose his/ her personal details. Second, he/ she will be awarded a certificate of appreciation, and a cash reward for assistance & rushing the victim to a hospital.
